From the Press Release
DIFF First Frame and Smedia-award winner Molly Kiely's documentary introduces us to 29-year-old Leonie from landlocked Kildare as she prepares to sail the Atlantic, just three years after taking up sailing. Luke O'Reilly Dalton's podcast explores the courage and heartbreak of dealing with a terminal diagnosis, while Lloyd Hyland's darkly satirical comedy skewers young people's experience of the housing crisis.
Head of the School of Media, Dr Caroline O'Sullivan, said: 'The subject matter chosen by these young film and documentary makers challenges our perceptions of issues of critical societal importance in ways that are serious, provocative and humorous, but never less than urgent and timely.'
