TU Dublin Sustainability 2024-2025 Academic Year Welcome
TU Dublin Orientation will take place between 10 September – 13 September 2024, and the Sustainability Team at TU Dublin is delighted to welcome new and returning students to campus for the start of the 2024-2025 Academic Year.
TU Dublin aims to be one of the most sustainable universities in the World, and we put the student experience at the centre of all that we do to achieve our goals. All students take part in an engaging sustainability presentation during orientation to learn about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how they are applied to enhance academic programmes, student life and our campus environment.
Our ambition for this academic year is to provide increased support across the University for the transformative change required to develop responsible global citizenship, the cultivation of a resilient and ethically conscious community, and for the decarbonisation of our campus environment.
As part of The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024, TU Dublin ranked an impressive 29th place globally for SDG13: Climate Action. We welcome and encourage our students to take and demand urgent action towards achieving carbon neutrality across the University and engage in responsible global citizenship.
Students are encouraged to visit the sustainability stand during orientation, where they can sign up to Green-Campus, Smarter Travel for Campuses, and Healthy Campus programmes and learn more about our campaigns and events – we have fun challenges with lots of prizes to be won!
Events on campus
Together, with the support from students and staff, we will work to advance sustainability literacy skills among our people, promote awareness with campaigns, and create opportunities for knowledge sharing and participation through engaging activities throughout the year.
Find an event, campaign, or initiative on the TU Dublin sustainability wall planner 2024 - 2025 and get actively involved in sustainability and climate action during your time here at TU Dublin.
