TU Dublin launch Sustainability Education Toolkit
The TU Dublin Sustainability Education Toolkit was formally launched at the Connecting the Dots event on 13 June, 2023, with over 100 TU Dublin teaching staff in attendance.
The toolkit is designed to support academic staff to embed sustainability within the curricula, by providing them with a choice of educational resources relevant to sustainable development.
TU Dublin’s Strategic Intent to 2030 sets out that all programmes will have sustainability learning outcomes. As well as providing links to resources about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the toolkit can support academic staff to:
- Analyse their current modules or programme descriptors to identify linkages to the SDGs,
- Use relevant frameworks such as GreenComp or Competences in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD),
- Look at national and international case studies of embedding sustainability in the curriculum, for each Faculty,
- Connect with other colleagues through Communities of Practice.

The TU Dublin Sustainability Education Toolkit is funded by the National Forum for Teaching and Learning SATLE fund.
