Become a Climate Ambassador 2024/2025
Who should apply?
Any student or member of staff at TU Dublin who is passionate about climate action should apply. If you want to be part of the climate conversation but need a platform and network to support your campaign then this programme could be for you.
Maybe you want to take sustainability to the next level on campus or within your community - or bond over biodiversity with like-minded people. If this sounds like you, then you should apply to become an An Taisce Climate Ambassador in 2025. Programme applications are open now.

Who Can Apply?
Everyone can apply, and An Taisce state that "no previous experience is required to become an official Climate Ambassador." The programme welcomes diversity and people from all backgrounds. Groups are formed by region around Ireland.
What is involved?
Climate Ambassadors will receive training in climate literacy, solutions and leadership, and the An Taisce programme offers fun and informative climate action tours and workshops around Ireland during their network gatherings. In return, Climate Ambassadors are asked to carry out at least two climate actions and two climate communications.
An Taisce Climate Action officers work with Climate Ambassadors to support them to create innovative initiatives, community projects and events, as well as giving them the communication skills needed to share their sustainable achievements.
The programme culminates in a special awards ceremony that celebrates friendship, hope, and the immense power of people uniting in climate action.

By taking the initiative to lead action for our planet TU Dublin students and staff who work on the Climate Ambassador programme are supporting TU Dublin's Strategic Intent to 2030 under the pillars of
- People (fostering individual talents in an ever-changing world),
- Planet (a powerhouse for living & breathing sustainability),
- and Partnership (delivering shared impact).
Involvement in the programme, not only helps you develop the skills and knowledge to take action for our climate, but it also empowers individuals to bring other people together in collection climate action; this supports many of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 13: Climate Action, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
