During October TU Dublin's Smarter Travel programme called on TU Dublin students and staff to get involved with the Transport for Ireland (TFI) Smarter Travel Walktober campaign - a fun team Step Challenge open to students and staff of Smarter Travel Workplaces and campus partners.

A huge congratulations to the 22 students and 26 staff across a record number of 14 registered teams who took part in the step challenge.

TU Dublin are delighted to announce the top 3 leading teams of this year’s Walktober Challenge - through rain or shine, they kept moving and cheered each other on. TU Dublin Smarter Travel Coordinators are sending active travel goodies bags to you. Together, 14 teams covered an impressive amount of ground with the average steps per team totting up to a total of 3,702,995 steps made by TU Dublin.
