Technological University Dublin is currently recruiting for two new fixed-term positions to join the Sustainability Intelligence team, specifically working on the new HEA funded project Towards a Sustainability University Campus. The project aims at piloting the digitalisation of TU Dublin buildings and campuses by developing, implementing, and testing a digitalisation strategy on three of our buildings.
Senior Smart Buildings Officer (Grade VII)
Vacancy ID: 033303: The 'Senior Smart Building Officer' will be responsible for developing, piloting, implementing, and validating a cost-efficient sub-metering action plans to digitalise 3 buildings to assess energy, comfort, health, and occupancy performances as well as to report and communicate information into user-centric dashboards.
Project Manager Sustainable Building Information Systems (Assistant Principal Officer)
Vacancy ID: 033285: Project Manager, Sustainable Building Information Systems: The Project Manager will be responsible for managing a team of three people, coordinating the project, exploiting and disseminating the project outputs, and securing opportunities to eventually scale the project to all building stock.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across our multi-campus University, in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary, and multi-service area approach. Our work is essential to develop measurement and verification plans which will lead to the decarbonisation and energy efficient use of our buildings and campuses. This requires upgrading the knowledge, skills, and practices leading to the digitalisation of buildings. It involves mapping our current capabilities, upgrading our building and energy management systems, the strategic implementation of sensors, exploiting data from ICT services, modelling energy, health, and comfort, and displaying information in a user centric way, where our students, staff, communities, and wider society can benefit from the project outputs
