Inaugural Access Alumni Network Event

TU Dublin Access Support team in collaboration with EDI, the TU Dublin Foundation and the Career Development centre hosted the inaugural Access Alumni Network event, in East Quad, Grangegorman on the evening of the 15th June.

Professor Yvonne Galligan, Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, officially opened the network, followed by a welcome from Gráinne Burke, Access Support Manager. Alumnus Pedro Da Silva shared his experience as an engineering student in Bolton St and the career journey he has navigated since graduating. Shauna O’Toole, final year student and Access Student Leader coordinator shared her experience of being a student and is looking forward to her next chapter after graduation, which will begin as VP for Academic Affairs in the TU Dublin Student Union.

It was a wonderful evening filled with chat, laughter and making connections. Providing feedback on the student experience and areas that the next generation of TU Dublin students will benefit from. Alumni and student leaders from all faculties where represented. Including Moya Clarke, founding member of the TU Dublin Access Society and former student leader, who has recently been included in the Sunday Business Post’s ’30 Under 30’.

Access Support are delighted to have the network launched and look forward to build meaningful and impactful relations between our Alumni and students. Thanks to all who attended and joined the network. A great evening had by all.
