As a student of TU Dublin, you are entitled to the use of a wide range of services including email, Wi-Fi, print services, software, and much more.

You also have access to various services provided by HEAnet such as Eduroam Wi-Fi access.

 

  • All students are provided with a @mytudublin.ie email address.
  • Your username is [your student number]@mytudublin.ie.
  • For new students, please use the 8-character password provided in the Invitation to Register letter sent to your personal email address.
  • You can access your student email account by visiting www.office.com.

Getting Started - Activating your E-mail account

  1. When you register with TU Dublin you will receive your student email address and password via your own personal email address.
  2. Next, you will then need to activate your TU Dublin email account in order to start using it.

Keep forgetting your email password?

  • If you register for Self-Service Password Reset by visiting www.tudublin.ie/password
  • You’ll be able to reset or change your password 24/7.
  • Registering couldn’t be easier just provide an alternative email address, mobile number or provide answers for a number of security questions and you’ll never be locked out of your email again.
  • All our TU Dublin Office 365 services can be accessed on www.office.com.
  • Office365 gives you access to a wide range of Microsoft services used in the University including Email, Teams, and OneDrive.

DID YOU KNOW?

The term VLE stands for Virtual Learning Environment - both Brightspace and Moodle are referred to as a VLE.


When teaching begins in semester one, some of your lectures may take place online with links provided in the VLE, and your lecturers will also share with you notes, reading lists and assignments via this virtual learning environment. 


What VLE should I use?


  • Students based in Grangegorman, Aungier Street, and Bolton Street will attend their online classes on Brightspace
  • Students in Blanchardstown and Tallaght will attend their online classes on Moodle. 

Please Note:   You must have logged in to your TU Dublin email address and set up your password and Multi Factor Authentication before attempting to log in to the VLE. If you haven’t done this yet, follow the steps at the top of this page
