TU Dublin GROWTHhub Entrepreneurial Student of the Year Award
Today we open the application for the 2024 TU Dublin GROWTHhub Student Entrepreneurship Award.
Congratulations to Seán Breen – TU Dublin GROWTHhub Entrepreneurial Student of the Year Award 2023!
We are delighted to announce that Seán Breen, a final year student on the BSc Computer Science and Chairperson of Enactus TU Dublin, has been awarded with the TU Dublin GROWTHhub Student Entrepreneurship Award for the year 2023.
The award recognises and celebrates entrepreneurial actions, behaviours, and contributions in a wide range of areas. This recognition is a testament to Seán's exceptional entrepreneurship skills, remarkable achievements, and significant contributions to the entrepreneurial landscape both within his own business and with his great contribution to TU Dublin Enactus society.
Presenting the award, Paul O’Reilly, GROWTHhub Lead noted: “Seán has displayed a keen entrepreneurial spirit throughout his academic journey, consistently pushing boundaries and turning ideas into reality. His commitment and positive energy to fostering positive change and contributing to the entrepreneurial ecosystem has not only set him apart from his peers but has also become an inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs within the university community.”
Seán co-founded Danu as he saw an unmet need for experiential marketing in the Irish food market and created a unique service that adds excellent value to their customers. A testament to his entrepreneurial acumen by seizing and shaping entrepreneurial opportunities, responding to challenges and creating value.
“Receiving the entrepreneurial student of the year award is a massive honour for me. I want to give a big thanks to my business partner Roann Byrne and all the TU Dublin Enactus team. My biggest advice for anyone who may have an idea is to reach out. Whether it be to me, the GROWTHhub team or one of your peers. No matter how crazy you think your idea is I guarantee that it will resonate with somebody. If it's something that gets you excited and out of bed in the morning, then it's not crazy it has potential.” Seán Breen, TU Dublin GROWTHhub Entrepreneurial Student of the Year Award 2023.
In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavours with Danu, Seán has been an active and engaged member and Chairperson of TU Dublin Enactus society. Enactus, a global organization dedicated to creating positive social change through entrepreneurial action, has found a passionate advocate in Seán. His involvement in Enactus reflects his commitment to using entrepreneurship as a force for good and making a meaningful impact on society.
Congratulations Seán!
