Entrepreneurial, Creativity and Growth-mindset skills: GROWTHhub Student Activities 2nd semester
Hi all and well come back to campus,
We have lots of great activities planned for this semester to give you an opportunity to learn and practice your innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial skills.
Activities for this semester:
All activities are free of charge, and open to all TU Dublin students!
Here are just some of the activities you might want to consider getting involved in.
1. Speaker series with entrepreneurs and innovation leaders - aka Talks at GROWTHhub.
- Run in each campus.
- You can access pre-recorded interviews here.
- If you are student that currently has a successful business and you would like to share your story, please let us know at growthhub@tudublin.ie
2. Do you want to create your own podcast or professional videos?
- Our creation studio is located at the Aungier Street campus, and it can be booked by any TU Dublin student.
- My colleague Beatriz has created a simple guide on how to use the podcast and the recording studio so anyone can use it.

3. Do you have a business idea or a social impact idea that you want to explore? If so, we have different programmes you can participate in:
- A one to one conversation with Gavan, our Entrepreneurship Education Facilitator.
- Venture Lab , where you can take your new venture idea from concept to pitch. This is an online programme that you can complete at your own pace, where you can gain an accredited level 8 CPD qualification and be in with a chance to win the €1,000 prize.
- If you living in Dublin 1 or Dublin 3, and you are between 18 or 30 years, check out the NEIC Kickstart programme. Applications close this Friday.
- If you are ready for the next step, check out ivenTUre. ivenTUre is TU Dublin’s student entrepreneur accelerator programme run in collaboration with TU Dublin Enterprise Engagement. ivenTUre takes you through a structured three-week programme to learn entrepreneurial and business development skills, with training and coaching provided by industry experts.
4. Get an accredited recognition on entrepreneurship with our Digital Badges.
- These are short online programmes from which you can achieve a Digital Badge for your CV.
- We currently have two Digital Badges for you to consider:
- (i) Design Thinking Fundamentals; and
- (ii) Entrepreneurship.
5. Competitions & Awards:
- TU Dublin GROWTHhub Entrepreneurial Student of the Year Award, recognises your entrepreneurial achievement, while being a full time TU Dublin student.
- Why not enter the Enterprise Ireland Student Entrepreneur Awards 2024. This a fantastic national competition and if you need help with your application, we can provide you with advice on your application through our Enterprise Idea and Pitch Clinic. You can also access our video recording green room suite to record your application. The closing date for video entries is 15 March 2024.

6. Paid summer internship with start-up and early stage companies.
- Learn how a start-up or early-stage enterprise works.
- Receive a CPD Certificate in Start-up Internship (level 8).
- Get ready to enter the job market.
7. We continue to grow our Entrepreneurial Ambassadors programme.
- Your school has or will have an Entrepreneurial Ambassador assigned to them. These are successful entrepreneurs and innovators who regularly give talks to student groups and are available for you to book a one-to-one session so you can talk to them about your idea/business or what to do next with your entrepreneurial ambitions.
