EntreComp: what is it and how can I use it?

On Wednesday 16th February, 10am-1pm, Alison Price of Enterprise Evolution will be running an online session.  

The European Commission has developed EntreComp: the European Entrepreneurship Competence Framework as a reference framework to explain what is meant by an entrepreneurial mindset. EntreComp offers a comprehensive description of the knowledge, skills and attitudes that people need to be entrepreneurial and create financial, cultural or social value for others. EntreComp is a common reference framework that identifies 15 competences in three key areas that describe what it means to be entrepreneurial. EntreComp has the potential to be used in a variety of ways including designing programmes and learning opportunities and assessing entrepreneurial skills

The purpose of the workshop is to outline the value of EntreComp in module / programme development and assessment. This online workshop will take staff through the power of EntreComp as a tool for curriculum planning and development as well as for use with students.  By first outlining how the framework builds up from 3 key areas through to 442 entrepreneurial learning outcomes, this workshop will showcase the full range of possibilities for implementation within HEIs. This workshop is designed for all who have an interest in enabling enterprise related competency development through their modules and programmes.

An experienced entrepreneurship educator, Alison Price is one of the authors of the EntreComp into Action - Get inspired, make it happen: A user guide to the European Entrepreneurship Competence Framework.  Alison is currently Principal Consultant & Co-Founder of Enterprise Evolution, and in previous roles including as the Director at the National Centre for Entrepreneurship in Education in the UK and the Head of Enterprise Education at Leeds Metropolitan University, Alison has worked to support enterprise and entrepreneurship, primarily supporting graduate and female entrepreneurship.
