Head of the Enterprise Academy Dr Claire Mc Bride was part of the Developing SME’s Digitisation and Sustainability Capabilities panel at Skillnet Ireland’s ‘Unlocking Talent Now’ Spring Convention, in the Killashee House Hotel on April 25th 2024.

The convention brings 70 Skillnet Business Networks and Industry Partners together to discuss talent development - new approaches, strategies and high-quality educational solutions to skill, reskill, upskill in the workplace and strengthen businesses by securing and retaining the best and brightest of talent, now and for the future.

 

Highlighting the success of TU Dublin University / Enterprise collaboration


Dr. Mc Bride, discussed the recent successful collaboration with the TU Dublin Enterprise Academy, Technology Ireland DIGITAL Skillnet and SportsTech Ireland that resulted in Ireland first Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Analytics, Technology and Innovation currently underway at Technological University Dublin. And the crucial role the Enterprise Academy played in bringing about the correct accredited educational solution for partners from across TU Dublin’s facilities and schools.

The Enterprise Academy is funded by the Higher Education Authority’s HCI Pillar 3, a government programme designed to meet priority skills needs, by increasing collaboration between higher education and enterprise with a focus on innovation and agility in teaching and learning.

Other panel members included Aoife O'Sullivan, Head of Network Development and Innovation Skillnet Ireland, Charlotte Barker, CEO Institute of Designers in Ireland and Feargal Malone, Network Manager, Fingal Chamber Skillnet.
