Exploring Collaborative Opportunities

 

Dr Dee Duffy, Senior Engagement Manager and Dr Matt Smith, Enterprise Partnership Lead with TU Dublin Enterprise Academy, recently hosted a two-hour discovery workshop with practitioners from the Arts and Health sector. The session aimed to explore how TU Dublin’s Faculty of Arts & Humanities could support this growing field through tailored learning and collaborative opportunities. 

John Walsh, Head of School of Art and Design and Dr Niamh Ann Kelly, Head of Discipline, Art and Visual Culture are instrumental in initiating this discovery to identify the opportunities to support this growing sector.  

 

Key Insights for Supporting Practitioners

The workshop highlighted key priorities, including interdisciplinary approaches, flexible educational pathways, and innovative research partnerships. Participants shared insights on the sector’s unique challenges and opportunities, emphasising the need for practical, accessible support to empower practitioners.
This discovery session provided valuable insights into the sector's needs and opportunities. TU Dublin looks forward to building on these conversations to develop impactful collaborations and initiatives in the Arts and Health field.

The Enterprise Academy Senior Engagement managers engage in detailed learner discovery, navigate the schools, faculties, and quality assurance systems in TU Dublin, to co-create robust and creative solutions to fulfil company/sector needs. University enterprise collaborative initiatives ensure that the workforce of sectors remains adept at handling the latest-cutting edge technologies, regulatory requirements, and industry demands.

Dr. Dee Duffy is Senior Engagement Manager for the Retail, Tourism and Hospitality Sectors. Innovation, sustainability, and digitalisation have emerged as key drivers to enhance competitiveness and meet changing consumer preferences in the tourism, hospitality and retail sectors.
