The first Collaborative Talent Development Community of Practice in this series launches
The first Community of Practice in this series took place on October 27th 2023. The aim of the Enterprise Academy Collaborative Talent Development Community of Practice is to create a place where university academic and professional services staff, business leaders and policy-makers can come together to improve how universities and enterprise work together. We do this by sharing what's working well, addressing barriers and challenges and focusing on the important things that make University-Enterprise Engagement successful.
The State of University Enterprise Collaboration at TU Dublin
The first event featured a keynote presentation The State of University Enterprise Collaboration at TU Dublin by Associate Professor Todd Davey by Professor Todd Davey. Todd is an academic entrepreneur, educational hacker, creative change-maker, policy transformer and member of faculty at Vienna University of Technology.
The presentation, based on Todd's research gave participants:
- Understanding of the opportunities and barriers for University-Enterprise Collaboration (UEC) in the area of teaching and learning
- Some perspective about the strengths and weaknesses of TU Dublin for UEC
- Insights into how you can improve your own UEC.
Professor Davey research report's a university perspective on University-Enterprise Collaboration, drawing on a survey of TU Dublin academics and professional staff as well as interviews with TU Dublin academics and associated businesses. the perceptions of academics and TU Dublin Professional Services at the Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin), as well as providing a business perspective to cooperation between TU Dublin and enterprise.
