Dr. Kesiena Ebenade, Capability Manager, Learning and Development is delighted to report on the initial success of this innovative program:
Our Procurement Academy program empowers participants to learn adaptively, equipping them to assess changing circumstances, identify learning needs, and evolve their approach as they navigate complex challenges. By bridging the gap between theory and practice, participants apply knowledge in real-world scenarios. This process ensures alignment with organisational goals while fostering flexibility in the face of change. In a rapidly evolving business environment, our emphasis on adaptive learning and practical application develops resilience, innovation, and the ability to thrive in dynamic contexts. This sets this program apart from typical University/Enterprise collaborations.
Cyril Pourrat, Chief Procurement Officer, BT Group, expressed his pride in the program's success:
This inaugural Procurement Academy programme, developed in collaboration with TU Dublin and the support of the IDA Training grant, represents an invaluable opportunity for our professionals to enhance their capabilities and contribute to transformational change. I would like to thank TU Dublin and IDA for their dedication in bringing this tailored certificate to fruition.
The first cohort of 25 professionals, all based in BT Sourced's Dublin offices, have successfully completed the programme and will apply their enhanced skills to drive innovation and help bring procurement into a new era. Future iterations of the programme are already being planned, with a focus on delivering tailored, online courses to international colleagues.
