Transition Year students from seven secondary schools attended an awards ceremony in TU Dublin on Tuesday 30th April to celebrate their achievements as part of our Young Creators’ Programme. The Young Creators’ Programme is a 12 week media studies programme that  enhances students’ media literacy and communications skills through media-focused activities and equips them with the skills to develop and create a short television programme or podcast. Each team visited the Grangegorman campus and worked with lecturers and TU Dublin students to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the process involved in creating shows.

Students from Blakestown Community School, CBS Westland Row, Killinarden Community School, St. Mark’s Community School, Tallaght Community School, St. Seton’s Secondary School and Stanhope Secondary School received certificates to recognise their hard work and achievements.

The teams watched all of the tv shows and listened to all of the podcasts. Prizes were allocated to Stanhope Secondary School for the best TV show, CBS Westland Row for the best podcast and Killinarden Community School for the best pitch /presentation.
