If you like technology and business, here’s where you'll learn the skills needed to bridge the gap between business and IT, so you become more resourceful, flexible and independent in your career development. It also prepares you to work in challenging and progressive organisations.

Subjects cover everything from Accounting, Business Information Systems and Economics Fundamentals to Systems Analysis, Marketing, Databases and Risk Analysis. In Year 4, you’ll learn about project management, study more advanced subjects such as Advanced Databases for Business, and specialise in areas that interest you such as Strategic Management, Financial Information Analysis or Customer Relationships.

On a typical day, you may design a website, problem-solve, create a marketing campaign, write a computer programme, make an investment decision, or produce an interactive multimedia presentation. On graduation, you’ll be equally comfortable in a pure IT or business environment, or any mixture of the two.

Postgraduate Study: On graduation, you may continue to postgraduate study at TU Dublin or elsewhere.

I chose this course because it had a wide variety of business subjects and it allows me to obtain skills from different areas of each module, both the business and technical side. The people you deal with are the best part of the course, both the lecturers and your fellow students. You get to work as a group with like-minded people on projects allowing you to build friendships.
