Course Description
This two-year course provides students with a strong foundation in the key aspects of business, producing a well-rounded graduate who can undertake a variety of business roles in an organisation. The broad and varied range of subjects offered provides graduates with the practical, work-ready skills they need to gain employment in a variety of companies, including project management, customer service, marketing, human resource management and financial roles. This blended learning course will allow students to develop key skills for the workplace, including organisational skills, team building, conflict management and the broader skills to assist with professional ethical decision-making in a digital world.
This course will include modules in the following specialisms: Principles of Business, Law & Marketing, Accounting, Human Resource Management and Information Systems. The flexibility offered within this course allows you to choose an elective in year 1 and year 2 to develop your interests within the business environment. Elective modules will include International Business, European Languages (French/German/Spanish) and Accounting.
Note: This course is offered over 2 years, both in Blanchardstown and in Tallaght.

To qualify for Advanced Entry applicants must be currently studying, completing, or have successfully completed, studies at Level 6, 7 or 8 in a Higher Education Institution (HEI) or an equivalent, in a related area. You must demonstrate by providing transcripts of results that you have achieved the learning outcomes for each stage you wish to advance past, for example:
- To enter Year 2 via Advanced Entry, you must demonstrate that you have met the learning outcomes for Year 1.
- For entry to Year 3, you must demonstrate that you have met the learning outcomes for Years 1 and 2.
- For entry to Year 4, you must demonstrate that you have met the learning outcomes for Years 1, 2, and 3.

On successful completion of the course (2 years), you may progress to Year 3 of (TU787)/(TU932) Bachelor of Business Degree in Management (Level 7 or Level 8).
Should your circumstances change, you can postpone your studies or continue them part-time in the evening.
Students wishing to pursue exemptions from Chartered Accountants Ireland may be required to sit qualifier exams during their study.
