Course Title: Higher Certificate in GMP and Technology
This course was developed after extensive consultation with the Pharmaceutical Industry and related sectors. This course aims to produce technically competent graduates who can work in production, quality assurance or validation roles. They will possess knowledge of regulatory affairs, documentation and processing technologies for oral dosage and aseptic finished pharmaceuticals as well as fine chemicals and biopharmaceuticals.
If you are under 23 years old on 1 January you must have achieved Grade D3 in five Leaving Certificate subjects, including Mathematics and English or Irish or a FETAC Level 5 qualification or equivalent unless otherwise stated. That is 5 subjects: O6/H7, English or Irish: O6/H7 and Mathematics: O6/H7, or better to apply for year one of this course.
A mature student must be over 23 years on 1st January of year of application.
All applicants must have competence in written and spoken English. Generally, it is expected that the applicants will be working in the Pharmaceutical Industry or related sectors.
This course will provide opportunities in the Pharmaceutical Industry and the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry.
The course runs over 2 Academic Years, 2 evenings a week. Some modules may be delivered in blended mode – a combination of class contact and distance learning.
