The Enterprise Cloud Computing programme development follows consultations with existing industry cloud partners. It addresses an identified shortage of formal skills in Cloud Automation, Private Cloud, Architecting for Public Clouds, Cloud Architecture in general, information security.
Graduates of this course have strong technical skills that are in demand. In keeping with the ‘doing’ approach in TU Dublin graduates will be in a position to build, analyse, configure, automate, make secure and manage the IT resources in an organisation with a particular focus on Public/Hybrid cloud architectures.

Applicants require a Major Level 6 qualification in ICT or equivalent. RPL processes can be used in certain cases for experienced ICT workers who can demonstrate the equivalent learning needed to enter the programme. All applicants must have competence in spoken and written English. 

Graduates of this course will have specialised knowledge and skills positioning them to compete for sought after roles such as:
  • Public/Private Cloud Architects
  • Cloud Support Engineers
  • Security Specialists
  • Cloud Solutions Specialists
  • IT Automation Engineers
  • Site Reliability Engineers
In addition, general IT operations and support roles will be available to graduates of the course.

Note: Applications will be assessed for prior knowledge of IT Automation Scripting and/or CyberSecurity which is essential to programme success. Where suitable evidence of achievement in these areas is demonstrated, exemptions may be granted from these modules.
