Bachelor of Science in Computing (NFQ Level 7) or equivalent qualification.

The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computing in Digital Forensics & Cyber Security is a one-year part-time add-on NFQ Level 8 degree covering such topics as mobile device forensics, application security, network security analytics, biometrics, business continuity management & cloud security.

The successful graduates from this programme have the knowledge and skills to begin work in any type of business that has Cyber Security needs. Former graduates from this course are now working in a wide range of industries from ICT to Financial Institutions to Manufacturing as well as the top International companies in Ireland.

Network Security Analytics: Data analysis technics applied to network traffic to detect intrusion

Biometrics and Forensics Applications: Theory and practice of using biometric devices for access / identificationtechnologies

Business Continuity Management & Cloud Security: Risk identification and management theory and practice

Individual Project: Application of knowledge gained from course to develop an independent project
