The purpose of this programme is to develop engineering, construction and built environment graduates in the interrelated disciplines of strategy and leadership.
Effective leadership requires a deep understanding of organisational strategy, and this programme addresses the fundamentals of strategy formulation and implementation specifically in engineering, construction and built environment organisations. The construction and built environment sector is complex, and this programme provides unique evidence-based insight and practical tools that can be applied in a real-world context.
Participants on the programme will develop their knowledge and competency in business environment analysis, stakeholder mapping, strategic planning, leading individuals, teams and change management processes. In addition, upon completion of this micro-credential, learners will have developed competencies including critical analysis, problem solving, communication and self-reflection.
This micro-credential is delivered on a blended basis offering participants the opportunity to connect with peers over four in-person on-campus days of delivery coupled with online classes over the course of one semester. A range of academic staff and enterprise faculty deliver this micro-credential ensuring an authentic learning experience.
Applicants should hold:
- 2.2 in a Level 8 course and working in engineering, construction or built environment.
Applicants that do not currently hold the minimum entry requirements may be considered for Recognition of Prior Learning, based on extensive industry experience (>5 years relevant industry experience).
