Food Prototype Development and Evaluation Forbairt agus Meastóireacht Fréamhshamhail Bia

This course is eligible for 50% funding through the HCI Micro-Credential Course Learner Subsidy. Please refer to the fees and how to apply sections for specific details and eligibility criteria.

This course focuses on the development of a new food product and is a synthesis of the theoretical and applied knowledge in developing a new food product. The aim of this course is to deepen the skill and knowledge base required to produce a successful new food product.

Applicants should hold:

  • Level 8 Honours degree in a related discipline or equivalent qualification.

4 contact hours per week (48 in total), plus self directed learning. Timetabled days to be confirmed.

Applications for HCI learners subsidised programmes will open at the end of April 2025 for entry in September 2025.

Assessment will be by means of a report, a showcase and a poster.
