This course is eligible for 50% funding through the HCI Micro-Credential Course Learner Subsidy. Please refer to the fees and how to apply sections for specific details and eligibility criteria.

The aim of this course is to introduce the learner to food and beverage new product development process through the development of a relevant concept brief. There will be emphasis on the product development process, food legislation, nutritional information and ingredient selection.

Applicants should hold:

  • A Leaving Certificate with minimum grade in Maths O6/H7; English or Irish O6/H7

OR

  • A full Level 5 or 6 award

OR

  • Meet TU Dublin assessment criteria for mature entry.

2 contact hours per week (24 in total), plus self directed learning. Timetabled days to be confirmed.
