Nomination Rules

All current TU Dublin staff members, including contract research and innovation staff, are eligible for nomination. For the relevant categories, registered TU Dublin research degree students and TU Dublin research degree alumni are also eligible to submit nominations.
An individual can only win once in a particular category within a five-year period.
Only one award will be presented to an individual in a given year.
A nomination can be made for an individual member of staff or a team.
Self-nomination is NOT permitted.
An individual can only make one nomination for a given award.
An individual or team may be nominated more than once.
Nominations can be made by an individual member of TU Dublin staff, students, alumni, or any combination of these. Each nomination must be proposed by two people.
Nominations may only be made using the official form. Failure to complete or comply with the requirements of the nomination procedure will result in withdrawal without review.

Research Career Awards [Category 1 and 2]

Early career and established career awards fall into this category. Nominations must be proposed by two TU Dublin staff members and submitted by one of these individuals for review on the relevant application form.

The nominees in these two categories will be required to submit a DORA CV. This will be reviewed with the application form to determine who will win the award. The nominees for those categories will be contacted in August and will be asked to submit a DORA CV on the template provided. This should be submitted by September 18^th, 2024.

Supervisor Awards [Category 3]

Nominees must be nominated by two students – one of whom must be a currently registered research student who will submit the application form. The second student may be either a former or current student of the nominee.

Team Award [Category 5]

Nominations must be proposed by two TU Dublin staff members outside of the team, one of who will submit the application form.

Award [Category 4, 6 - 10]

Nominations must be proposed by two TU Dublin staff members, one of who will submit the application form.
