The forthcoming Trinity-TU Dublin Joint Centre for the Sociology of Humans and Machines (SOHAM) will serve as a pioneering research hub focused on the dynamic interplay between society and intelligent technologies. Housing interdisciplinary scholars from diverse fields such as sociology, computer science, and psychology, SOHAM engages in cutting-edge research examining how AI and autonomous systems shape and are shaped by human behaviour and societal structures. At the heart of the centre’s mission will be an emphasis on fostering ethical and socially responsible technology integration, supported by public and academic events, international collaborations, and community outreach. With a state-of-the-art framework bridging Trinity College Dublin and Technological University Dublin, SOHAM catalyses innovation, policy influence, and academic excellence, establishing a vibrant intellectual community poised to shape the future of human-machine relations.

MSc or equivalent in computational, social, or natural sciences with relevance to computational social science.
