Companies can access the latest skills and expertise from TU Dublin and other research institutes throughout Ireland. Through the Innovation Partnership Programme, Enterprise Ireland can provide up to 80% of the cost of that research to fund projects over a span of 6 to 24 months.

IPP Feasibility

Enterprise Ireland also funds a precursor programme of €9,000 to conduct a technical feasibility of technology prior to submitting a full Innovation Partnership application. We typically run these projects over 2–3 months to test and evaluate the basic principles.

The voucher scheme is open to all SME companies defined as being less than 50 employees and with a turnover less than 10 million. The voucher, worth €5,000, is provided by Enterprise Ireland as a mechanism by which small companies can engage with academia to solve a problem or as an initial proof of concept as prelude to a larger project.

Note: Applicants do not need to be EI clients.

MiCRA can facilitate undergraduate and postgraduate projects through the programmes available at TU Dublin. These programmes allow for work of up to 18 months duration and allow for students to develop industrially relevant skills prior to employment.

There are other options for funding supports and they include:

  • Direct funded projects
  • Horizon 2021 funding schemes
  • Contract analytical research
