The TU Dublin Physical to Life Sciences Research Hub provides state of the art, core laboratory support and technical expertise in microscopy and spectroscopy for a range of activities, across, and bridging, the Physical and Life Sciences, including Food Science as well as Engineering. It is a one-stop-shop for characterisation of materials and processes and operates an open access policy with expert technical, administrative and scientific support.
The technologies are broadly applicable to a wide range of disciplines, and thus facilitate engagement by new members of staff, the development of self-sustaining research teams of critical mass, and consolidation of existing research groups and centres. The facilities further support broader collaborations as well as consultative engagement of industry and enterprise nationally and internationally.
The Physical to Life Sciences Research Hub seeks to nurture a vibrant culture of R&I across the Physical and Life Sciences, supported by regular seminars, training and social events, and provide guidance on sourcing funding nationally and internationally, dissemination and exploitation of results, networking and career development. The Physical to Life Sciences Research Hub will continuously endeavour to foster a culture of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, in all aspects of its operation.
