Most of our researchers are based in two research hubs at TU Dublin.
These two research hubs occupy buildings located on the vibrant Grangegorman campus and provide a state-of-the-art environment to engage in research, with the availability of dedicated research desks and bench spaces with specialised equipment. tPOT researchers also have access to specialised technology and engineering equipment to assist in research tasks including (but not limited to) a virtual reality rig, biaxial tensile tester, gait analysis equipment, cell culture facilities, laser cutters, rapid prototyping systems, a camera / sensor drone and a range of portable high-quality audio-visual recording equipment to support qualitative research.
In addition to access to advanced facilities and equipment, researchers based in these two hubs benefit from a vibrant and collaborative environment. They are encouraged to network with fellow resident researchers, fostering an ecosystem of mutual support and knowledge exchange. Regular opportunities are provided to attend tailored training sessions, both within these hubs and across the TU Dublin City, Blanchardstown and Tallaght campuses, that focus on both personal and professional development, empowering them to enhance their skills, broaden their perspectives, and build their profiles in their respective fields.
This state-of-the-art approach ensures that researchers are not only equipped with cutting-edge tools but are also supported in building a strong foundation for their academic and professional growth. The collegial environment also enables strong working relationships with research peers.
The main hub buildings are on the Grangegorman campus, which is adjoined by vibrant, charming and historic parts of Dublin Stoneybatter, Phibsborough, Cabra and Smithfield.
