On Monday 16th May, 2022 CSinc.ie with TU Dublin Tallaght Campus hosted over 130 girls for an onsite coding event. It was the first of these large events on campus since the pandemic and the sense of excitement was evident. The girls came from Kishoge Community School, Loreto Crumlin and Loreto Kilkenny and ranged in age from 13 to 17 years old.

The day consisted of talks from female role models Aoibheann Mangan (@aoibheannmangan) and Tania Griffin (a past TU Dublin graduate now working in SAP). The girls were then given a hour exposure to coding where topics such as HTML, CSS, Javascript and Advanced Micro:bits were covered. The day ended with a talk and general discussion around Artificial Intelligence and ethics. It was amazing to be able to host this event with such an enthusiastic group of girls.
