Nathalie Cazaux is a French lecturer and has been teaching at all levels in the Technological University Dublin for more than twenty years. Her research interests range from the integration of technology in language learning to gamification, intercultural relationships in the workplace and Universal Design for learning.
Research/Practice Interests: Her interests lie in the use of technology in learning and its effect on motivation as well as its potential positive influence in the integration of a diverse cohort of students. She is currently working within the fields of Computer Assisted Language Learning, Gamification, Universal Design for Learning and the connected worlds of Social Media. In association with Dr Helen Williams, Dr Eamon Maher and Odette Gabaudan in TUDublin, she has developed the website www.frenchgrammartour.com with the help of the French Embassy and the Institut Francais. She is currently working with colleagues Dr Riana Walsh, Susanna Nocchi and Odette Gabaudan to promote #LanguagesPathway, a new versatile platform to encourage second level students to keep their language at Third Level. She has also been developing the use of Gamification in Education thanks to an #IMPACT bursary. Last year she organised a Game Jam which brought multidisciplinary teams of students together to create educational games.
