Fernanda is a senior research assistant at the School of Hospitality Management and Tourism. She holds a master’s degree and doctorate in Social History, and prior to work at TU Dublin she has been a visiting researcher at the School of Portuguese, Spanish and Latin American Studies of University College Cork. She has also worked for six years as an assistant lecturer and researcher at the Fluminense Institute of Technology in Brazil, where she held management roles, as learning and research director, cultural coordinator and coordinator of the social memory and heritage centre of the Institute.  Her research interests include education and training policies in tourism and hospitality, heritage studies, gender and cultural studies.
