Carole has worked in Academic Affairs for the past seven years as Operations Manager, providing high level administrative support and advice to the Head of Service. Prior to that, she headed up both Examinations and Registrations offices in different sites. Having participated in Advance HE's Aurora Leadership Development Programme in 2017, she became interested in gender equality in a higher education setting, going on to join TU Dublin's Athena Swan Self-Assessment Team in 2020, preparing for a new Bronze award application.  Looking at gender equality issues has naturally lead her to consider wider equality issues and intersectionality. Research/Practice Interests: K-12 Computer Science Education, Machine learning, CS1

Research/Practice Interests: With a strong background in administrative operations and policy, Carole is keen to ensure that equality, diversity and inclusion become embedded in policy-making within our University. There is much work to be done. She will draw support from RINCE to practically help to achieve its core aim; "to generate a transformative impact in and beyond higher education, addressing persistent inequalities from an intersectionality perspective".
