The National Optometry Centre provides eye examinations and specialist diagnostic scans:
- Student teaching clinic (supervised by qualified optometrists, no charge)
- Professional clinic (private, PRSI, & Medical Card clients accepted)
- Specialist clinics Advanced diagnostic scans (Fees may apply)
We use the latest advanced technology for eye disease detection and documentation. The clinics screen for a range of eye conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataract, diabetic retinopathy.
Our optometrists and students spend time with you to establish a complete picture of your vision, your visual requirements, overall health and lifestyle.
What happens after your eye examination?
At the end of your eye test, we discuss the results with you to advise of a need to monitor an eye condition, to refer you onto an eye specialist (ophthalmologist), or if you need glasses.
If you need glasses or simply want a new style, our dispensing opticians can help you choose some new frames and provide expert advice on the best lens options for your eyes.
