Teaching Resources

Library staff offer a range of student classes, tutorials and workshops from searching, evaluating and referencing information for assignments to literature review and critical reading.

  • Classes can be delivered “at point of need” throughout the year, and are designed to suit the specific needs of a student cohort.
  • Classes or support can be arranged for student groups or tutorials can be offered on a one-to-one basis.
  • Classes can be delivered face-to-face, via Brightspace/Teams or can be pre-recorded.

Library staff can also provide support to individual staff members who are engaged in searching for information for research or publication. An introduction to library services for new staff members can also be arranged.

  • To discuss your information needs or to book a  student class please contact the Faculty Liaison Librarian in your subject area.

Academic staff are welcome to reuse the content to support information skills within individual modules.

Open Educational Resources (OERs)

OERs offer free reusable content in a variety of formats to support and augment teaching and learning.  Content includes short courses, exercises and activities to support the delivery of your module.  You can also find alternative content to printed resources and access to free e-textbooks. For more information on finding, curating and using OERs please see our library guide.
