Term Time

Aungier St Health Centre is not open this semester and all health care services are in Rathdown House on the Grangegorman site.

Grangegorman Health Centre is open Monday to Friday 9:00 to 13:00 & 14:00 to 17:00.

To make an appointment to see a doctor or nurse in either health centre please call 01 220 5700.

Monday to Friday
9am - 1pm, 2pm - 5pm

We are providing face to face consultations and telephone consultations where appropriate. Appointments can be made by phoning the health centre on 01 220 5700 or you can call in.

Please wear a mask if you have COVID symptoms, a cold or a cough - they are available at the door and at reception.

GP appointments and specialist clinics or services are available  Term Time only and not during the holidays. 

There is a nurse led service apart from Bank or National Holidays.

Please note: if you make an appointment and fail to give us 24 hours notice of cancellation/reschedule a €10 charge will be applied to your account.

The GP service is available Monday - Friday . If there are no GP appointments available , please ask to speak to a nurse or book an appointment with a nurse. The nurse may be able to get you an appointment sooner for you. 

Consultation with a Nurse consultation with a nurse can include the following:

  • Triage of students - Please remove
  • Add Health Promotion - including healthy lifestyles, drug and alcohol awareness
  • General health discussion 
  • Minor health illness some can be self managed to including coughs , colds, vomiting ,

  • Local pharmacies can also provide great advice and over the counter treatments-

  • Minor injury management-Find urgent and emergency care in Ireland - HSE.ie
  • Contraception advice
  • Sexual health advice including STI Screens for no symptoms
  • Acne management

  • Smoking cessation advice- Quit smoking - HSE.ie
  • Dietary advice
  • Routine injections
  • Removal of sutures
  • Wound Dressing

Out of Hours

Outside of the above hours, students can see their own/local GP (Find a GP) or in an emergency go to their nearest Accident and Emergency Department (Find a Hospital). Students are reminded that the TU Dublin Student Health Service is not available for home visits or out-of-hours care.
