Beginning your journey into third level education is an exciting milestone in your life. As you transition to higher education, you will face a myriad of changes; you will learn new subjects, adapt to new timetables, you will make new friends, move out of home, or have a longer commute, and have additional responsibilities for your finances.
We would like to provide some tips to help you budget effectively to support your transition to TU Dublin.
The TU Dublin Cost of Living Guide for 2024/25 provides detailed breakdowns of various expenses that students may encounter – living at home or away from home. These include rent, utilities, food, travel, books and class materials, clothing and medical expenses, mobile costs, social life and miscellaneous expenses, and the student charge.
With the breakdown of expenses, matched with your income, you can now start to create a personalised budget to meet your needs.
