Requesting a Replacement Parchment
A replacement certificate/diploma/degree parchment may be issued provided applicants declare in a witnessed statutory declaration by a Commissioner for Oaths/Practising Solicitor/Notary Public/Peace Commissioner that to the best of their belief their original parchment has been destroyed, or has been irretrievably lost or mislaid, and that if the original parchment is found they will return the replacement to the Office of the Director of Student Development.

Do I need to request a new parchment?
DIT, IT Blanchardstown and IT Tallaght qualifications remain as awarded so parchments will not need to be re-issued. In fact, it is not uncommon for higher education institutions to merge and/or change names so employers and HR professionals are used to dealing with parchments from institutions with updated names.
How do I refer to my qualification on my CV?
On your CV you can refer to your qualification as:
DIT (now TU Dublin) IT Blanchardstown (now TU Dublin) IT Tallaght (now TU Dublin)
If you have a LinkedIn profile you may have noticed that the DIT, IT Blanchardstown and IT Tallaght LinkedIn pages have merged to create one new TU Dublin page and while the social media avatar on the profile has changed all qualifications remain as awarded.

Please note that this service is for Aungier Street, Bolton Street, Grangegorman graduates only (former Dublin Institute of Technology). Please email any enquiries to: parchments@tudublin.ie.
It costs €75 for a replacement parchment. Payment can only be taken by credit/debit card over the phone. Please do not send payment in the post. Please provide a current phone number and email address with your application and you will be contacted for payment before your replacement parchment is issued.
It can take up to six weeks to issue a replacement parchment.
