Consider furthering your academic journey with postgraduate study. Pursuing a postgraduate degree can open up new horizons and deepen your expertise in your chosen field. However, financing these studies is an essential factor to consider.

Discounts to Alumni of TU Dublin  

As a TU Dublin graduate, you may be able to avail of a 10% reduction in fees for any of our Level 9 taught Masters programmes. To avail of the graduate fee discount, please make sure you include your TU Dublin qualification when you apply for a Level 9 taught Masters programme. Students who are enrolled on programmes funded by Springboard or any other third party are not eligible for the TU Dublin Alumni Rate.

Postgraduate student grant

You may get financial assistance under the Student Grant Scheme with the cost of tuition fees for approved postgraduate courses in Ireland and Northern Ireland. There is no support under the Scheme for courses elsewhere in the EU.

You can qualify for assistance under the Student Grant Scheme in 2 ways. You may either:

1.Get a new flat rate fee contribution of €4,000 (2023-2024 academic year), if you pass the fee contribution means test

Or

2.Get all your tuition fees paid and essential field trips (up to €6,270), if you meet the qualifying conditions for the special rate of grant for disadvantaged students 

You must qualify for the special rate of grant for disadvantaged students to get a postgraduate maintenance grant. No maintenance grant is paid to other postgraduate students.

To qualify for assistance under the Student Grant Scheme, you must also meet nationality, immigration and residency criteria. You can get more information about these criteria in the Student Grant Scheme document.

The TU Dublin Access Foundation Scholarships may be the stepping stone you need. The Foundation aims to cultivate an engaging, innovative learning environment for diverse programmes, catering to students from varied backgrounds and age groups. Thanks to the donors like alumni, individuals, and partner companies, they provide students with transformative support through grants, awards, and scholarships in numerous disciplines.

In 2021 alone, €195,916 was awarded to 85 fortunate students through 17 unique funds and scholarships, with a typical award of €3,000.
