Sport Facilities Tallaght Campus

Gym 

Location: Sport, Science, health, and Recreation Building (SSHRB) 

The latest addition to the sports facilities in TU Dublin, opened in September 2023. Spanning 3,282 m², it offers state-of-the-art amenities, including a gym, classrooms, changing rooms, lecture rooms and one of the largest multi-purpose sports halls in Dublin 24. Its a definite must see!

The new gym facility on the Tallaght campus offers a wide range of equipment including sportsart cardio and resistance training machines and Realleader free weights selection including Full Racks, Smith Machine, Dual pulley Cables and more. All members can avail of a personalised fitness programme, free consultations with professional trainers and a variety of Fitness classes. The gym also provides convenient amenities such as changing rooms, showers, and secure lockers. Whether you're looking to start a new workout routine or enhance your training, the gym facility has everything you need to stay fit and active. Stop by and check it out- the gym located on the 1st floor in the Sport Building.

Gym Opening Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM- 7:45 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:45 PM
  • Weekends: Closed

Facilities:

  • Gym Facility: Wide range of Sportart Eco-Power Cardio including treadmills, stepmills and upright bikes. Featuring concept 2 skiergs, rowers and wide variety of fitness equipment to achieve your fitness goals. 
  • Strength and Conditioning Area: 
  • The gym also features dual purpose Sportsart resistance machines and a variety of free weights with dumbbells up to 40kg, Realleader resistance equipment including Full racks, smith machines, Glute Drive machine and more!
  • Sports Hall: Accommodates 2 basketball courts or 1 competition basketball court (also suitable for badminton, volleyball, and more)
  • Changing Rooms
  • Referee Changing
  • Lockers

Sport Pitches

  • Natural Grass Soccer Pitch: 100m x 68m 
  • Grass training Pitch 1: 50m x 70m 
  • Grass training Pitch 2: 50m x 50m
