National Fitness Day is the biggest and most visible annual celebration of physical activity. It is the day to celebrate the role that physical activity plays across Ireland. This year the National Fitness Day will take place on Monday 23rd September.

The European Week of Sport is an initiative by the European Commission promoting sport and physical activity across Europe under the slogan "Be Active."
As every year, it will take place from September 23rd to 30th, not only across Europe but also beyond.
The European Week of Sport aims to launch new activities and build on existing successful initiatives at European, national, regional, and local levels.
This year, the European Week of Sport coincides with the Student Life Festival.
