Workplace Wellbeing Committee
In 2023, TU Dublin approved the formation of the Workplace Wellbeing Committee. The committee adopts a holistic, evidence based approach to workplace wellbeing. By establishing task groups, the committee will drive the workplace wellbeing activity within the University and will provide a cohesive and consistent approach to workplace wellbeing across TU Dublin. The committee will actively seek feedback with staff and key stakeholders through direct consultation, staff surveys (employee engagement survey, people development wellbeing survey, Healthy TU Dublin survey), focus groups and all staff emails seeking input to meet the needs of colleagues.
In line with recommendations from the Department of Health and World Health Organisation (WHO), the committee is made up of representatives from relevant departments who contribute to the overall goal of the group. Participation in committee builds on a shared commitment to create a positive workplace culture and embed wellbeing in a respectful environment to ‘create a better world together’.
The committee will leverage expertise from multiple teams who have a wellbeing remit to co-ordinate activity and to provide staff with a holistic and cohesive wellbeing offering. Together with the committee, the groups mentioned below play a key role in driving the workplace wellbeing agenda:
- TU Dublin Sport
- Pastoral Care & Chapliancy
