This section will be used to provide updates on any important TU Dublin Safety, Health and Welfare announcements.
ORGANISATION DESIGN UPDATE
- The professional service of Safety, Health and Welfare (SHW) reports to the Safety, Health and Welfare Senior Manager; Edel Niland in the Office of Governance and Compliance.
- Process and role mapping is currently in progress in line with Organisation Design.
DOCUMENTATION UPDATE
- The Safety Policy for 2025 has been approved by Governing Body.
- The University Safety Statement 2023 has been approved by Governing Body.
- The terms of reference for the following have been approved:
- The Safety, Health and Welfare University Steering Committee;
- The Safety, Health and Welfare Campus Committees; and
- The statutory safety representative.
GOVERNANCE UPDATE
- The SHW University Steering Committee have had eleven meetings.
- Five SHW Campus Committees have been established and commenced meetings:
(Augier Street, Bolton Street, Grangegorman, Tallaght, Blanchardstown).
SYSTEMS UPDATE
- SHW systems continue as previously on each campus until otherwise directed;
- Any SHW issues should be addressed to your line manager in the first instance. There is an escalation process for unresolved issues;
- All School/Function arrangements are currently being updated.
