Overview: Terminalfour CMS’ is the approved Web Content Management System (Web CMS) for TU Dublin. Depending on your level of access, Web CMS allows you to create, modify, approve and publish content to the live TU Dublin website.

Target Group: Content matter experts - content ‘moderators’ & ‘contributors’

Pre-requisites:  Basic ICT skills – Windows 10, Formatting text, Copy & Paste, hyperlinks, basic image sourcing and editing (e.g. using MS Paint or MS Paint 3D)

Learning outcomes:

At the end of this webinar, you will be able to:

  • Locate and Launch Site Manager (via a web link)
  • Navigate the main screen
  • Relate the ‘Site Structure’ and sections to Webpages
  • Locate content for editing
  • Edit content (via text editor) – add/delete/format text, insert links
  • Insert a basic table
  • Create new web pages using different ‘content types’
  • Locate images using both the TU Dublin stock and external stock (Adobe)
  • Add (upload) images and documents to the ‘Media Library’, and insert into content
  • Publish content (‘Save/Update & Approve’)
  • Locate training resources (user guides and videos)

Overview: MS Paint’ is the easiest and most basic Windows built-in application for editing images. The ability to resize and crop images is an essential tool to have when you need to embed images into Word Documents, PowerPoint Presentations and Web pages.

Target Group: All staff (particularly web content ‘moderators’ & ‘contributors’)

Pre-requisites: Basic ICT skills – Windows 10, Formatting text, Copy & Paste

  • Be aware of other more advanced image editing tools and software (Adobe Express/Photoshop) and how to download these from Adobe.com
