Introduction to Change Management
A 90-minute online session to introduce the basic concepts of change management and some key steps to support change
Change can bring uncertainty, even where that change is positive and welcomed. Changes to our processes, policies, or technology all impact our people and how we do our jobs day-to-day. Change Management focuses on supporting the people side of change. The approaches help to define what is changing and why, the impacts of planned changes, and how we can help people prepare and adapt.
This session is intended to provide an awareness of change management practices. We will introduce some basic concepts of change management, link the ideas to our TU Dublin Staff Charter, and provide some tools for participants to apply to their own work. The ideas in change management are widely applicable to almost any role and this session welcomes staff from across the university with an interest in helping to land changes, however big or small.
