About Bolton Street

Our Bolton Street campus has been a centre for technological education for over 100 years. This three storey neo-classical building was designed by CJ McCarthy and was built in 1908. It has since been extend in 1961 and again in 1987.

The campus is fully equipped with computer labs, lecture theatres with the latest audio-visual equipment and learning aids, fully equipped workshops, library, restaurants, students’ union area, and student recreation area.

Bolton Street has a large variety of room types available to rent. Similar to our other campuses, there is a large foyer space, as well as a small private courtyard and a large selection of educational rooms from labs to lecture theatres.

Our regular classrooms are typically reserved for teaching during term time. For current university staff, you can check the availability of rooms using Syllabus+ and book the room directly from there. Please take note of any additional departments and stakeholders who need to be informed of events taking place in Bolton Street's rooms by checking the Event Protocols section for TU Dublin staff.
