Adjunct Professor

Brijesh is a Senior researcher of Teagasc with a long relationship with the School of Food Science and Environmental Health. Specifically his present position as senior researcher with his past experience as senior lecturer in Manchester Metropolitan University enables him to understand and provide expertise and advise in the food processing area. and place him in parity with a Senior Lecturer in DIT. 

Teaching 

Brijesh has experience in the food engineering area on his previous appointments as Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University and Senior Lecturer at the Manchester Food Research Centre from the same university. 

Research  

Brijesh has developed a very active research expertise in the area of food engineering, displaying excellence in research consistently in 1) India after his graduation 2) in Ireland during his PhD and in his present Teagasc position and 3) in the UK during his tenure as lecturer and senior lecturer in Manchester. Brijesh research standing and appointment has enabled him to develop roles as invited faculty scientist in India.  

Academic Assessment 

Brijesh has experience as lecturer and senior lecturer in the area of assessment and quality of academic delivery. This resulted in early promotion in Manchester and in further professional mobility that allowed him to achieve his appointment at senior lectureship.  

Academic Administration 

Brijesh again, has experience at senior lecturer level in the UK in the area of academic administration comparable to senior lecturers in DIT.  

Management 

In his present position as well Brijesh is responsible of the management of a research laboratory with similar training and administrative tasks as a senior lecturer in our School.
