I served my time as a Fitter/Turner with Irish Rail and then went on to spend almost 20 years as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at Dublin Airport. Then in 2011 I completed a degree in Mechatronics from Blanchardstown IT. I then completed various courses in Solar Panel installation & Solar Thermal installation. From there I worked as a Commissioning Engineer and Commissioning Manager in both Ireland and the USA in the Semi-Conductor industry. I then started in DIT in 2015 as a Technician with the School of Engineering in the Thermodynamics Lab and gained a Masters in Energy Management and then became a technical officer. I then moved to my current position as the technical officer for the School of Surveying and Construction Innovation where I manage and maintain all of our Surveying Equipment.
