Lena Clarke is a full time Lecturer with TU Dublin in the School of Surveying and Construction Innovation, specialising in Valuations (Real Estate.  She is a graduate of Property Economics, and has a MSc, in Real Estate Investment Finance from Oxford Brookes University, UK.  Lena’s area of research is sustainability and its impact on property valuations and her MSc thesis in this area won the IPF Dissertation Prize in 2020.

Lena has a particularly keen interest in the area of property investment and development, and gained wide experience in these areas over a twenty-year career as a practicing Chartered Valuation Surveyor.  Prior to joining TU Dublin, Lena was a Divisional Director in Investments at Lisney, conducting investment sales, acquisitions and periodic valuations for numerous institutional property funds including development land.

She is an active member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland (SCSI) and RICS, and a member of the SCSI Sustainability Working Group.  Lena is a past Chairman of the Young Surveyors, and former Honorary Secretary of the SCSI.  She has published a series of articles on sustainability and valuations in the SCSI Surveyors Journal.
