Diarmuid Rush is responsible for programmes in Mechanical Engineering and Sustainable Energy in the TU Dublin Tallaght campus.
Diarmuid is a graduate of Dublin Institute of Technology with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Manufacturing Engineering, and Trinity College Dublin with an M.Sc. through research (Control Systems).
Diarmuid has had a number of roles in third level education since joining RTC Tallaght in 1992, including Technical Support, Associate Lecturer, Lecturer, and Head of Department. Prior to working in education, Diarmuid had engineering roles in the areas of production, maintenance, control and automation, and machine installations.
Diarmuid’s teaching areas include Automation, Control, Electrical Engineering, and Engineering Mathematics. Diarmuid has worked with industrial partners, including Intel and Hewlett Packard, to develop short courses to upskill technical and engineering staff. He has also been involved in research projects in the areas of control, and medical devices.
